PRETTAU ZIRKONZAHN BLANKS:
Our Prettau® Dispersive® zirconia material is offered with a gentle and natural color transition during production thanks to its smooth dispersion. With the new Prettau® 3 Dispersive® zirconia, we have now developed a zirconia material with a triple gradient effect using Gradual-Triplex technology.
Besides color, translucency and bending strength also vary. While translucency increases towards the incisal edge, creating a high-translucency incisal edge, bending strength increases towards the cervical edge, resulting in extremely high bending strength at the cervical region.
Accordingly, Prettau® 3 Dispersive® can be used for all types of zirconia restorations, although this material is particularly suitable for monolithic restorations. To determine the patient’s tooth color with material consistency, specialized zirconia color charts with sample teeth made from Prettau® 3 Dispersive® are available for premolars as well as lower and upper incisors. If the color chart material and the zirconia crown material are identical, it ensures that the color of the zirconia restoration matches the patient’s natural tooth color 1:1.
Outstanding Features
Zirconia with Gradual-Triplex-Technology: a three-tiered gradient effect with natural colors and a gradual increase in flexural strength and transparency.
Flexural strength gradually increases towards the neck of the tooth, reaching its highest level at the neck.
Transparency increases towards the incisal edge; the incisal edge has superior transparency.
The color-shifting effect blends seamlessly, recreating the natural tooth color from dentine to enamel.
Color range from A1–D4 and 3 Bleach colors; specialized zirconia color matching chart for premolars and incisors (customizable).
Hand staining with Color Liquids is not required; however, Color Liquid Prettau® Aquarell can still be used to personalize the color for each patient.
No limitations on indications: suitable for single crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers, bars, multi-unit bridges (reduced or total anatomical), especially suitable for monolithic designs.
Fast firing is possible for single crowns.
No porcelain chipping (thanks to anatomical design)
Personalization after firing is possible using ICE Stains Prettau® and ICE Stains 3D by Enrico Steger.
Process
Place the designed structure into the Zirkonzahn.Nesting software, ensuring the color gradient effect is displayed correctly.
Dry machining using CAM
Sintering (1500 °C); rapid sintering is possible for single crowns.
Glazed with 3D Glaze Base, Glaze Plus
High gloss polishing
Attaching the prosthesis: Cementing or screwing
